Christina Iten

As a Swiss-Canadian I moved to Switzerland after completing my teaching degree at Brock University in Ontario, Canada. Thereafter I taught classes from playgroup to grade 3 at the International School of Zug & Luzern and the International School of Central Switzerland. I have also completed further training in Natural Pedagogy and in relation to creativity at the Hochschule für Künste, Bern thereby combining things that I feel passionate about with work.

I have been happily teaching at Terra Nova in Küsnacht since 2016. At Terra Nova I value the familiar, friendly and dynamic atmosphere. I am grateful that I am one of those privileged people who honestly love going to work every day! Being able to make a difference by creating a learning atmosphere filled with positivity, kindness and respect is extremely important to me. As the Dalai Lama once said, «When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts».

I love to spend time with my students whether by listening to their stories, reading to them, spending time in the forest, igniting their curiosity, sharing a smile, or celebrating their successes.
