After school clubs
The Terra Nova Bilingual School is also here for our students after regular lessons have ended. A varied range of recreational courses after classes have finished makes it possible for children and young students to pursue special interests and talents. After school there is also the possibility to do homework and prepare for tests with the support of a teacher.
Fun with Phonics

Description
A fun and educational way to boost your child’s enjoyment and abilities in reading and writing as well as his/her love of English.
Even though your child already learns Phonics in their English lessons, this would be a top-up and a chance to practice the letter sounds in a fun, interactive way. We will be using songs, stories, games and much more to explore the world of Phonics.
Phonics is the matching of sounds with individual letters or groups of letters. For example, the sound k can be spelled as c, k, ck or ch. Teaching children to blend the sounds helps them to write, spell and read.
Course Instructor
Ms. Roe is originally from England and has been a teacher at our Terra Nova since 2022 after gaining main years of experience both in England and the USA. She has experience and training in both ‘Jolly Phonics’ and ‘Read, Write Inc’ and has helped develop programmes for schools in the UK and the US and seen the academic benefits. She is excited to offer ‘Fun with Phonics’ as an after school activity to help your child enrich their knowledge.
