The use of ICT in our classrooms is something we implement in a mindful way that compliments the learning taking place. The iPads are used to enrich the learning taking place in the classroom and to diversify the way the children consolidate their understanding and learnt skills. Our students practise safe and responsible use of ICT with the support of the teachers around them. Through the use of ICT on a regular basis in the classroom, the children are developing skills that support their understanding and use of technology. Growing these skills and increasing the students’ awareness of the issues that can arise when using apps, websites and online accounts is fundamental. As our students enter a world where being literate in the use of technology is an essential skill, we aim to support and educate them to become safe and confident users of ICT.
