Ziele und Schwerpunkte des Kurses
The aim of the literacy course is to provide learners with the opportunity to develop, improve and gain confidence in their story writing skills.
The focus of this course will be the written composition of narratives and stories. We will explore a range of existing stories across various genres and written for a variety of audiences in order to create our own narratives. This will aim to encourage learners to develop their skills in composition by examining the process of planning, drafting, evaluating and editing their own pieces of writing. Learners will have the opportunity to share their work with a particular emphasis on peer and self assessment. The course would be of particular interest to anyone who enjoys narrative writing and is enthusiastic about improving their work. Learners will also have the opportunity to write in their free time and to share work with others in the class.
The course will take place in the Grade 5 classroom at Terra Nova. Learners will have access to a range of age appropriate texts across different genres of narrative writing. These will be provided and used in class. Learners should bring along their own stationary.
