My name is Elizabeth Suter and I am a positive, enthusiastic person with a great deal of energy that tries to live each day to the fullest. I am a motivated person, am open to differences of opinion and like working with others to try to complete projects or find solutions to every day challenges.
I believe that children innately want to learn and do well in school. It is our job as teachers to give them the tools to be successful and to instill in each child a passion for learning. I also hope to instill in my students a love of reading. This is one of my favorite pastimes, and through various books projects I aim to make children realize that reading can be both fun and informative.
After moving to Switzerland in 1995 to be with my Swiss husband, I taught at the International School of Zug. I taught the lower primary grades there until my first child was born. While taking time to raise my two children, both of whom are being brought up bilingually, I continued to teach English as a second language to children and adults, as well as provide private tutoring. I have been part of the IBS Terra Nova team since the summer of 2003 teaching in the full cycle of the upper primary levels, grades 3 through 6. In addition to teaching, I worked as the English pedagogical leader guiding the teams in both buildings together with Frau Brasser. In February 2018 I took over the operative management of the school.
