Jennifer Miller

Assistant Kindergarten

I qualified with a Masters in Elementary Education in 2011 and feel very fortunate to have worked in international and bilingual environments in Zurich – a city which I love! My childhood can be described as very ‘international’ – I lived in a number of different countries both in Europe and the Middle East where I had the most amazing adventures exploring new places with my family as well as experiencing and understanding different cultures and ways of life.

After university I moved to Switzerland and taught kindergarten in an international school until taking a professional break to have my two daughters. During this professional break, I returned to university to obtain a qualification in Special Educational Needs. Supporting the individual needs of students within the classroom is where I consider my strength to be. I am currently half way through a supplementary teaching certificate in the teaching of English as an Additional Language which will keep me busy when I am not at school!

I passionately believe that the measurement of success is not only academic achievement but also good moral standards, ethical awareness and a willingness to engage positively in the dynamics of a changing world. I recognise the importance of bilingual education in today’s society and look forward to contributing to a learning environment that is fun, fulfilling, challenging and exciting! I am thrilled to be joining the Terra Nova Kindergarten team.
