For our pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and primary students, lunch is included in the school fees. Secondary students can choose to have lunch as an option. Children are supervised during the lunch period. All meals are catered by Meals for Kids. It is important to us to provide a varied, balanced, healthy and child-friendly diet.
We offer a school bus service to collect children and take them home safely again. We operate two different routes:
1. Lakeside route
Stäfa – Männedorf – Uetikon am See – Meilen – Herrliberg/Feldmeilen – Erlenbach – Terra Nova
2. Pfannenstiel route
Tiefenbrunnen – Zollikerberg – Zumikon – Forch – Egg – Terra Nova

Camps and excursions
Ski camp in Splügen
The ski camp for students in years 4–6 is the highlight of the school year – for both the children and their teachers. It takes place the week before the winter sports break and combines the fun of winter sport with the joys of camp life.
The children spend the day on the slopes with ski instructors to improve their skiing and snowboarding skills. There is also time for play and for exploring the winter wonderland around the camp house with the teachers. In the evenings, everyone gathers to enjoy the convivial atmosphere, away from the everyday school routine.
Several day trips or longer excursions take place over the course of the school year. The aim of these is to connect what the students have been learning in the classroom with the ‘real world’ and provide exciting, meaningful learning opportunities.
The Terra Nova Tigers demonstrate their athletic skills in various team sports during matches in our school, where they not only learn how to win and lose, but also get to know team spirit and fair play. Go Tigers!
Special events are held regularly, often organised in close collaboration with the Parents’ Association (PA). Examples include regional customs such as the Räbeliechtli parade, celebrations marked by certain cultural groups (e.g. Advent or Halloween) and events to promote cultural understanding (e.g. Literature Week).
From time to time, we also run interclass project weeks based on a specific theme.
