After school clubs
The Terra Nova Bilingual School is also here for our students after regular lessons have ended. A varied range of recreational courses after classes have finished makes it possible for children and young students to pursue special interests and talents. After school there is also the possibility to do homework and prepare for tests with the support of a teacher.
Chess 1

Description
The chess course is suitable for all children who like to puzzle, play and solve brainteasers. They are introduced to the secrets of chess in a playful way and train logical thinking, concentration and social skills.
Additional Information
Materials, chess programmes and exercise books are provided. The exercise book specifically designed for course lessons is included in the price.
Course Instructor
Yul Peter has been a member of the Aarau Chess Club in excess of ten years and has been working as a trainer for the DSSP club for a year (including at the Witikon children’s chess club and in holiday camps). He is 19 years old and has a good rapport with children, leading to well-adapted and educational training.
As a junior, Yul was in the final tournaments of the Swiss championship several times, including in the U10 and U12 categories.
DSSP was founded in 2015 by Peter Hug, who was the first professional to lead a chess club in Küsnacht at Terra Nova in 2014. Before that, he taught voluntarily for several years at his youth club, the Therwil Chess Club.
